Don’t waste their time with revision offers-ain’t gonna happen. Of course, there’s no law that says you can’t run a different property their way later under a psuedonym later on, and if that goes nuclear pull you other prize out of the bag and say, “By the way, I have this revised other property which happens to just be laying around..” And if neither property gets off the ground, or they don’t bother to reply to either query, remember W. C. Field’s law of persistence: “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again. Then quit. No sense being a damn fool about it.” There’s always plenty other ports of call. And don’t do like a writer I knew once and send people nyah,nyah,nyah, letters when you break through somewhere; kinda ruins the majesty of the occasion and causes your friends to haul you away in a straitjacket…
