I read my way through the entire cannon of Diana Wynne Jones, including her quirky memoirish book about writing. There is a reason Neil Gaiman thinks she is the best thing since sliced bread.Her writing is beyond fast-paced–it skips through plot like a well-tossed flat stone on a lake, leaving everything Harry Potter stuck in the sand on shore. Hope the bus rides went well.
