Writing when “inspired by” music would mean I am lifting situations and characters and conversations and stories from someone else. It would adulterate MY story, MY characters, MY ideas.

Not to say that my finished work wouldn’t make a dandy motion picture or that I haven’t already picked out the musical themes for each of the characters in the film, or the title and ending tracks!
