Hoo boy, no.For me a Bad Boy is a train wreck in progress. I don\'t want to save him, I just want to see how bad it\'s going to be.I\'m 1/3 way through writing a novel about a Bad Boy. The tricky part is balancing his evilness (and he is evil) with enough redeeming qualities that the reader doesn\'t toss the book away in disgust.

Ahhhh. I **love** bad boys. The more flawed they are, the better. And yes, I want to save them. I want their love for me to save them. It shouldn't be romantic, I guess, but it hooks me faster than anything else.

A few of my favorite tortured souls:

Eric Northman, the Sookie Stackhouse novels.
Edmond Dantes, The Count of Monte Cristo.
Lestat, The Vampire Chronicles.
Heathcliff, Wuthering Heights.
Damon Salvatore, The Vampire Diaries.

Three of those are vampires. Interesting. I don't even read much paranormal fiction! Just the good ones with the REALLY bad boys.

Great post! :D
