However, you got me with romance! I only started reading it in the last five or six years and at first I was embarrassed to add them to my Goodreads page, but then the need to keep track of what I read won out. I used to read cozies, but I found that after a while all the sort of blase killing was getting to me so I tried romance. I don’t read very many, mostly because I really don’t like the formulaic ones…I need them to be funny, too (Jennifer Crusie, Kristen Higgins, Sophie Kinsella – but not Shopaholic). I have to admit that when I read romances it’s mostly at home. I haven’t really been able to bring myself to go public. I think it’s because while some of them are really good, so many of them are bad and I just hate the idea of people thinking I don’t care what I read! I know…ego.
