My first thought is, that’s a great idea, but who has the time? The answer, of course, is: You do, if you read something short.

Just as important, though: letting the kids see you reading; letting them see friends and family reading (and not interrupting them doing so); having books of all kinds in the house; visiting the library; subscribing to a daily newspaper, especially one with a good comics page.
