Sometimes it’s a phrase that’s repeated throughout the book, a theme of sorts that even the characters recognize as influencing their lives. It tells me (and you) who the protagonist is, or it describes the setting, or it sets up the situation.

So, it keeps me focused, and keeps you intrigued…I hope.

I do have a title for which I cannot come up with a story, and I hereby offer it to all and sundry in the hopes that it will find a home:
DEATH BY KAZOO.
