Your ommission of any fictional younger brother in this scenario is telling, and reflects an attitude in publishing that boys don't even show up on the radar. Not that I'm complaining; my project is aimed at girls exclusively, and I make sure any strong boy characters are either dead or offstage by the end of the book so your sister should love it. Boys? Let 'em eat video games!
