Another bibliophile and I were talking about this at lunch today. Today’s college students, the “Millenials,” apparently are become less proficient at interpersonal communication. I.e., they would rather text and tweet than talk face to face with a nonvirtual person and as a consequence are not as good at it. At least that’s what some academics say.

So, in this day and age, if there’s anything will teach patience and focus and empathy it’s reading. Oh, and it’s fun!
