Two of my fiction books are being republished in two different countries in 2012. My literary novel (2012, UK) will now be published by Penguin India. My stories (India 2001) will now be e-published in the USA. I have another literary novel and a new collection of stories ready while I am writing four different kinds of novels simultaneously. But I write like an Indian, South Asian novelist, with an eye on the new reader/market for this kind of fiction emerging in South Asia. Agent, agent, on the wall, who’s the fairest of us all?

Well, it looks like I’ll be talking about comics and video games after all.

I plan on doing a series of blog posts that will be a Guide to Comics and Graphic Novels. One of those posts will be all about the submission processes for creators.

Thanks for the response, but at best I can weave the Rambam’s 13 principles of faith in an Israeli-American fiction for YA. Writing about the philoshopy itself requires more studying. Looking forward to enjoy reading your blogs.

Well, I echo those above…Games and Comics are always cool topics regardless….=0)

Personally, I’d like to hear about the wider range of mediums that writers can operate in other than novels (a group which games and comics are part of), both for financial sustenence and the all important fillip of finding an audience.

I’d certainly like to rant and rave about the nuances of comic book art and the artistic nature of video games, but I’m here to talk about the things YOU want to talk about, not the things I want to talk about.

I would very much like you to talk about these things, even if they’re off-topic. Maybe you can have free-for-all days on the blog?

Are you saying we can’t talk about comic books and video games? Because that sounded fun…

To be honest, I’d love to see some basic information given about how graphic novels and the comic industry works in terms of submissions and what not. I’m sure I could dig for the info, but it seems like every blog discusses novels and non-fiction queries, and I’ve seen several that deal with children’s books and that sort of author/illustrator relationship, but I’ve never seen anything dealing with the business side of this particular niche. I’m not sure if anyone else would find it useful or interesting, but I would.

I’d also be interested in issues such as trends that occur between graphic works and novels. Do they tend to exist in their own separate worlds? Also what makes a great submission that stands out?

Also is Arkham City not the best video game ever created? Okay, so that last one was really just for me lol. 😉
