The store where I work, Queen Anne Books, was honored at breakfast this morning with the Pannell Award for General Bookstore, and it would have been amazing to soak it all in in person.
I would have loved to attend the soirees… Random House’s on the Intrepid looked particularly exciting and Little Brown’s carnival seemed intriguing. I also wish I could have gone to publisher booths to pick up ARCs like “Matched” at Penguin and “The Night Circus” from Doubleday, and to meet authors like Jarret Krosoczka & Jon Scieszka.
Congratulations on surviving the BEA floor– I hear it was a madhouse. Enjoy your booty, and live it up at BEA for all of us stuck on the opposite coast!
