Tweeting: I find it really helpful when they direct me to content that I should see/need to know about but wouldn’t have found out about otherwise. I’m more interested in something you’ve read or an event you’re attending that I couldn’t get to. Less interested in the fact that you’re writing right this second, or what your word count is. There’s so much great stuff on the net that I need help drilling down to the stuff I actually need to read. I rely on writer/publishing industry friends I respect to point me to it via Twitter, and I try to return the favor.
