I attended the Claremont Colleges where Lethem will be teaching. It's a wonderful place (I stayed in Claremont for 7 years after graduation).

2. Please Lord, don't let him be one of those New Yorkers who move to L.A. and then endlessly whine about how L.A. isn't New York. Of COURSE it isn't New York. You want New York, live in f^&*ing New York. L.A. is its own place with its own charms, delights, secrets and warts.
